The Basilica Landmark had a significant year caring for our historic Basilica of Saint Mary.

We continually work to restore the church and campus buildings, making crucial repairs and improvements for safety and accessibility. This year several key steps were taken to assess the condition of the church to prepare for a future capital campaign.

We currently have two on-going tracks to restore our Basilica; continued maintenance and future restoration.

Continued maintenance

• Bronze door repairs needed for accessibility
• Cleaning the bell towers
• Tuck-pointing to secure the exterior
• Removal of old insulation to dry out the ceiling moisture
  

 Planning for future restoration

• Stained Glass assessment
• Interior assessment
• Extensive exterior masonry project
