We highly value The Basilica and the wonderful liturgies that are part of our Sunday worship. We also highly value the fact that The Basilica does wonderful things in Minneapolis, not the least of which is the St. Vincent DePaul program which provides food, coffee, and shoes for the poor. We are very blessed to have The Basilica in our lives.
— Rick and René, Legacy Society members
The Basilica is a place of gathering. In addition to weekly services, holiday celebrations, baptisms and weddings, these halls are filled daily with lectures and workshops, concerts and films, art exhibits and guided tours. Events provide so many opportunities to come together- whether addressing social issues or simply being social with one another.
The Basilica Landmark sponsors events like The Emmanuel Masqueray Ball, a yearly must-attend gala, and the annual Legacy Society Brunch, honoring those who have included The Basilica in their estate plans. Events bring people together from around our community to celebrate The Basilica while raising awareness of its ongoing preservation and restoration.
Visit our website often to learn more about attending, volunteering or being a sponsor for upcoming events and help ensure the continued success of The Basilica Landmark.
Tours are offered by Basilica docents and are available year-round (except holidays and holy week). Sunday tours are available after the 9:30am and 11:30am Masses and begin at the front of the Basilica beneath the pulpit. For a self-guided tour, tour brochures may be found in the back of the Church.
Group tour, throughout the week, are available by request. For more information about tours or if you are planning to bring a group, please contac the Liturgy Office at 612.333.1381.
